The Boys

Since the focus of my blogs lately has been PTing Chloe, I thought I'd also do a short update on the boys :)

They're both doing well and of course still growing like weeds.

We spent the last several months growing Coopers hair out so we could once again give him that "typical boy haircut" and do things like a faux hawk etc. only for him to cut his own hair last week.  *sigh*  Josh had been asking me to once again give Cooper a short haircut, back to a one with the clippers, but I really wanted it grown out and when it comes to things like that mommy prevails *insert evil laugh*, BUT Josh was giving himself a haircut and Cooper asked if he could cut his own hair.  Well I'm pretty sure that Josh conveniently "turned a blind eye" toward Cooper and semi-"allowed" him access to his facial clippers at which point Cooper took a chunk off the top of his head therefor "forcing" Daddy to complete the "haircut" and give him a no gaurd all around. *insert eye roll*  Of course I wasn't too thrilled with this at first, but now that Cooper's hair has darkened up quite a bit, it doesn't look as bad as I thought.  It actually looks cute if I must be honest...

And Brodie's doing just swell also.  Really coming into the toddler stage now.  He'll be 15 months here in a few days which is just INSANE.  Soon I'll have to say he's a year and A HALF.  Don't like that at all.  My "baby" is growing up *tear*.  But it is great to see him come into his little personality.  He's starting to test the waters with us and is a major climber.  Monkey monkey monkey.  He has figured out how to climb on almost anything which has been pretty interesting.  Of course HE thinks it's hilarious and loves us to chase him and come after him.  He'll take something and run off with it just cracking up and waiting for us to chase him.  And he's really really really trying to talk.  He wants to have little conversations all the time.  Mom and I were talking at the dinner table and he just kept chiming right in. LOL  He's starting to feed himself with a spoon now (still turning it upside down, but he's getting SOME food in LOL) and I think he'll need to go to a toddler bed shortly.  He's still in the crib in our room right now, but I'm thinking of switching it out for a toddler bed, but still having it in our room.

Overall things are going fairly well.  The summer started of great, but now there are just too many damn mosquitos to even go outside half the time.  We have to fog first and then load them up with bug spray just to even go outside for 10 minutes and they're STILL getting eaten up, so that's put quite a damper on outdoor play and swimming which is a bummer, but hopefully it will get better soon *fingers crossed* and we can resume outdoor activities as usual.  We can still participate in trips to the fountains or the mall play area which we MAY just have to do tomorrow considering it'll be Josh's Sunday.  Or...the pool at the rec center that'd be good too...  Anyway, now I'm just rambling, but thanks for checking in everyone!
